Stylist Nicole Gulotta’s Nomadic Thread Society Loves ‘Aish is a collaborative relationship between Nicole’s designs and those at her friend Nupur’s blossoming company in India. “We are developing new ideas all the time, and working in conjunction with the finest artisans throughout India – sometimes employing entire families and parts of villages.” This season they are working with Jamdani, the finest of muslins and a 2000 year old Bengal weaving technique. The finished pieces are amazing: beautiful, handmade scarves which embody the exotic destinations that they were inspired by.

A few styles we love are the Roxy shawl/maxi scarf which is made of super fine muslin with woven border details and the Saatvik triangle scarf rani which is made of 100% Jamdani muslin with Asamase border motifs and pompoms. Each one is different from the next. Manufacturing is in NYC.

We just received more of the styles we love from AG for spring and summer. The Stilt roll-up is like a boyfriend jean but a little slimmer in the leg, which can be rolled up or down.

The Piper crop is a slouchy slim cut that feels like you’ve had them for years, thanks to AG’s ozone technology washing process. The brand prides itself on this eco-friendly technique by using less water, chemicals and energy to create all of the denim jeans. The result is denim that is broken in perfectly, with the vintage lover in mind.

Back in the store for summer are Jadetribe’s eco-friendly and fairly traded totes and beach bags! The Samui stripe hand-woven tote is perfect for the beach, with a lovely Ikat pattern and beaded shell charm.

Also great for an afternoon out is the Nicole tote which is made of organic cotton and natural dyes by a village of women in Laos.

Colors such as persimmon, sulfur, or indigo brighten up an outfit and add that perfect pop of color. Wallets are made of Italian vegetable-tanned leather and have a soft, broken-in feeling and organic, utilitarian look with exposed stitching.

Established in 2004 by Parsons School of Design graduate and goldsmith Laurie Chapman, Sweet Tooth jewelry has a simple, sophisticated, and chic wear-ability that is akin to a favorite pair of jeans.

Handmade in San Francisco and eco-friendly, the earrings are made with precious metals from existing supplies whenever possible. The vermeil is of the highest quality and always used over sterling silver.
