Enza Costa, who’s collection bears the designer’s signature name, is a fairly new line for us. We just love the color palette, we love the fit, and most importantly, we love to layer ‘em up. We are delighted that the newest delivery is here!
Enza uses tissue weight fabrics that are meant to layer seamlessly over one another. Her tanks, dresses, and tees are deliberately cut in the 1930’s style so that the layered pieces flatter the body without adding bulk or extra width.
Come hurry and scoop up such your favorite styles back in such rich fall colors as deep purple, light heather grey, charcoal and of course black. Cashmere and viscose pieces in this grouping round out the collection. The look is effortless, feminine, and California cool.

Oooo La La!! Fabulous New Zealand designer, Trelise Cooper, has just delivered her latest Fall collection to the Dress Shop and it is absolutely spectacular.
Trelise is known for her attention to flair, individualistic style, and keen sense of color matched with luxury. She pulls inspiration from movies, museums, and vintage clothes of a bygone era. “I love adding historical elements to my garments while giving them a modern interpretation”, says Trelise.
The collection consists of Japanese inspired emboidered coats and dressy robes that are meant to be worn as the key layer piece that not only creates but completes the look. The items are very regal and truly reminicent of old Hollywood. Each one is meant to be treasured for a lifetime.

Elm Ballerina Dress
Elm is designed in Iceland, produced in Peru, and its glorious fabrics are sourced throughout the world. We especially love this designer for its signature taffetas and microfibers. Elm captures such a romantic and playful look so perfectly.

This season we bought these famous fabrics as well as a group of soft pima cottons in a combination of black and a beautiful lava grey tone that looks particularly fantastic on everyone. The color also translates well from day to night – depending of course on your choice of jewelry, shoes and accessories. And the taffeta ballerina dress is an absolute show-stopper! Come and oooh and aww.

Humanoid Collection

Humanoid is a new label for us from the Netherlands and has just arrived to our delight! The Dutch designer duo consider their line of 26 years to be “down to earth”, as they strive to combine sumptuous fabrics with style for every day wear.
The collection is full of edgy basics and beyond. Our favorite pieces are the loose cashmere sweaters and yummy light weight wool cardigans. The gauze jersey pinstriped leggings and turtleneck tops particularly add beautiful depth for layering.
Colors are chosen as “a journey for the senses”, done in soft eucalyptous, bark, and earthy palette. Humanoid came at the right time to cozy up in luxury during our cool Pre-Fall mornings.

Young, rising fashion star, Alexander Wang, designed a new line of t-shirts that are just ‘right’, and are here at Wendy Foster. His inspiration derived from his love for the fit of his tees after a night of sleep. “I’ve always aimed for that look – when you put it on, it doesn’t hug your body, it breathes,” says Wang. The American designer just didn’t see this look anywhere and decided it was time.

We bought a solid range of his luscious oversized pocket tees, tunics, and casual dresses in rayon and supima cotton, and in a mix of long and short sleeves as well as boat necks and crew necks. Colors are in deep blue, tones of gray, and of course, black.
The tees are romantic, effortless, and worn best layered over thin knits and slim bottoms. We know you will love them as much as we do, prices are quite reasonable! Prices range from $78-$118. Come and see for yourself!

Shourouk Rhaiem’s absolutely SPECTACULAR indian jewelry just arrived at the Dress Shop. Her handmade pieces are a union of Swarovski crystals and silver sequins finessed with refined embroidery. Each glamorous one is extraordinary and beyond our imagination. Most recently, her collection accessorized the catwalks of the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 runway show.

The inventive designer is inspired by the oriental embroideries of the Nabeul region of Tunisia where she grew up. “My jewels represent the emerging of my childhood universe – made of the traditional costumes my Tunisian grand-mother used to wear, with the silver sequins and sumptuous embroideries,” explains Shourouk. Come soon as each piece is one of a kind!

Super soft, raw, distressed, and just meant to look and feel authentic, Current Eliot jeans have ignited a craze at the Wendy Foster stores. So far – we cannot keep the denim in stock fast enough here at the Dress Shop!

The designer duo, Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, are based in Los Angeles and developed this fantastic denim line when they realized they couldn’t quite find that exact ‘vintage’ rocker loose, slouchy, and broken-in pair of jeans that they so craved with saddle shoes. “We sort of woke up the whole vintage vibe, ” said Current. “It wasn’t our expectation. We just wanted to do something we loved”.
We currently carry their ’boyfriend’ jean, which is wonderfully slouchy and rolled up imperfectly at the bottom. The cut is matched by the comfort in a pair of jeans that we always dream of without sacrificing the look. Current Eliot got it right! Hope to see you soon..

Beth Orduna Jewelry
We are lusting after the latest arrivals from jewelry designer and good friend, Beth Orduna.
Trained in jewelry and fashion design, Beth is based in Los Angeles and is famous for her shooting star charm connected to each fabulous piece in her collection. She finds inspiration from the extraordinary architecture and brilliant palette of ancient America and Mexico.
We are drawn to the raw quality of her pieces that are contrasted with the right amount of eye-catching bling! Beth combines metals with feathers with diamonds with leather with gorgeous stones…
She loves and celebrates the flawed and overlooked quieter elements in our environment. A true artist. Hope to see you soon!
