Elm is designed in Iceland, produced in Peru, and its glorious fabrics are sourced throughout the world. We especially love this designer for its signature taffetas and microfibers. Elm captures such a romantic and playful look so perfectly.
This season we bought these famous fabrics as well as a group of soft pima cottons in a combination of black and a beautiful lava grey tone that looks particularly fantastic on everyone. Humanoid Collection
Humanoid is a new label for us from the Netherlands and has just arrived to our delight! The Dutch designer duo consider their line of 26 years to be “down to earth”, as they strive to combine sumptuous fabrics with style for every day wear.
The collection is full of edgy basics and beyond. Our favorite pieces are the loose cashmere sweaters and yummy light weight wool cardigans. The gauze jersey pinstriped leggings and turtleneck tops particularly add beautiful depth for layering.
Colors are chosen as “a journey for the senses”, done in soft eucalyptous, bark, and earthy palette. Humanoid came at the right time to cozy up in luxury during our cool Pre-Fall mornings.

Due to the success of Japanese designer, Pas de Calais, we warmly welcome this unique line again this season at the Dress Shop. Pas de Calais is a collection full of rich textures, natural fabrics, and is true to the art of fantastic layering.
We love the long wool knit sweater jacket coat in camel with the deep browns in the scarves and pants in this group. Pas de Calais is edgy and is the Japanese answer to American “Ralph Lauren”.

Masnada Collection
Masnada is a new, gorgeous line for us at the Dress Shop. Designed and produced in Italy, Masnada is known for its fine textiles, natural materials, and wonderful draping against the body.
The designer was previously a theatrical costume designer in France and the United Kingdom, and only recently decided to share her passion for textiles with every woman who appreciates wearing glorious, unique pieces.

Wendy Foster, Montecito
Young, rising fashion star, Alexander Wang, designed a new line of t-shirts that are just ‘right’, and are here at Wendy Foster. His inspiration derived from his love for the fit of his tees after a night of sleep. “I’ve always aimed for that look – when you put it on, it doesn’t hug your body, it breathes,” says Wang. The American designer just didn’t see this look anywhere and decided it was time.
We bought a solid range of his luscious oversized pocket tees, tunics, and casual dresses in rayon and supima cotton, and in a mix of long and short sleeves as well as boat necks and crew necks. Colors are in deep blue, tones of gray, and of course, black.
The tees are romantic, effortless, and worn best layered over thin knits and slim bottoms. We know you will love them as much as we do, prices are quite reasonable! Prices range from $78-$118. Come and see for yourself!
